Past/Honorary Board
Members
While the individual(s) listed below are no longer Board Members,
their participation in the Society has been invaluable. We recognize
them here.
Vilius Zalpys, Oregon
Vilius has served on the Board of Directors for the last two
years and has provided ongoing assistance to members of LGGS, our
Yahoo group and our online databases. He currently serves as President
of the Portland Lithuanian American Community's Governing Body.
LGGS is very thankful for his contributions to the society and his
ongoing work with the Lithuanian community. Though he no longer
serves on the board, he will still be providing assistance to our
group and the community at large.
Karen Vincent, CPA, California
Karen was been with LGGS from the start in 1999 when she served
as the Chair for the Accounting and Compliance committee and had
been our recent Treasurer. When not doing CPA work, Karen donated
her time to the society in many ways including the Lithuanian Days
in Los Angeles and serves on her HOA board. Though Karen had to
leave to concentrate on fighting a severe illness, we are happy
to say that she has won her first battle and we wish her the best
in her health and life to come!
J. Robert Zane, Esq., Pennsylvania
Jay was President of the LGGS from 1999-2001. He donated his time
and professional expertise in establishing the Society by filing
Corporate Papers and compiling tombstone inscriptions. Without his
help, the Society would not exist. As an attorney, he continues
to provide the Society sound legal advise. Thanks Jay !!
Sandra Savickas McDonald, Utah
Sandra was Webmaster of LGGS from its inception in 1999 until this
year. In fact, her work with Lithuanian
Global Resources was a major contributor to the databases currently
hosted on this site and remain a valuable resource to researching
genealogists. She continues to assist when needed and her efforts
in getting LGR and LGGS websites running are commendable.
